Some Things Are Better Left Unsaid

She glared at him, "I'm not getting shocked every three seconds! Its only if I heal someone or if I heal myself." She added and then bit her lip again. "You might be right about the emotions though...the first time I healed someone it was my cousin and she had been stabbed. She was already dead and as I was crying I healed her, I woke up hours later in a morgue....that's why I never want to wake up in one again....once was enough." She said and shuddered.

"It was an... exaggeration, I'm sorry." He said lightly. Listening to her, "I was arrested once... hit in the face with the butt of a gun before I took the man down... but never... nope I have woken up in a morgue." He mused allowed, "Wasn't that fun when people start yelling zombie."

She shook her head, "Thankfully Clark was the one who heard me screaming....though when he saw I was alive I think he was about to scream zombie." She said lightly and then laughed.

Bruce laughed with her, "Yeah, people tend to do that. Clark wouldn't be an exception."

"That's true enough, I should probably go now but thank you for the save." She said sincerely.

Bruce shook his head, "Don't mention it... no seriously don't. Clark would kick my ass if he knew." Bruce said so seriously and quickly is was almost comical.

Chloe studied him, "Why not? I mean he only would kick your ass if he knew the whole story." She pointed out and then smiled, "But don't worry, I'm not telling him anything." She said.

"Clark knows the full story. That's why he'd kick my ass." He said, swallowing loudly.

Chloe frowned, "Look I know I barely know you but if you ever want to talk about it....just know that I'm not going to spill your secret." She said honestly before she turned and left.

Bruce watched her leave, "I'd rather not... ever talk about it." he whispered out. Something popped into his head, why would she leave so randomly? He shook his head before turning around. He'd get some work done as he though.
