Bringing the Real Rogue to the Mansion

Rogue looked at the muscled man, letting out a faint blush, "My words... he's handsome..." When Kitty spoke about Kara she quickly asked, "What's a Kara?" she sheepishly ran her spare hand through her bangs.

Kitty nodded in agreement with Rogue's statement, "I know right? And Kara is...well she's like engaged to Mr. Logan. He proposed to her a few days ago." She added

Rogue made a slight movement, "Well... good for him." she said quietly, a tinier more weak voice then her normally strong one. She picked herself up quickly, "Hello, Superman...? Superman was it?"

Clark looked over when he heard some giggling and smiled when he recognized Kitty next to someone else. "Well it is Superman, but my name is Clark...Clark Kent." He said and offered his hand to Rogue, to shake.

Rogue, out of habit did not accept the handshake, instead she bowed her head, "They call me Rogue...Clark? Clark... I like that name." She smiled awkwardly trying to act like she belonged.

He smiled warmly at her and tried not to let it bother him when she didn't shake his hand back. "Rogue huh, well welcome to the Alternate Universe." He said and smiled over at Kitty. "It was nice meeting you and nice seeing you." He said to both of them before turning and leaving. Kitty bit her lip and watched him go, "Yeah bye." She said with a smile on her face.

Rogue jumped for a moment, "W-wait! I'm sorry, I... I... uh... it's habit for me not to touch people. My touch is lethal, in more ways then one." Rogue smacked herself in the face, 'God how could I be so dumb...' she thought lightly.

Clark froze when she said that and could see how hard it was for her to admit this. "Its ok, you don't have to apologize. Lets try this again, Clark Kent." He said and offered his hand for her to shake. He smiled warmly at her.

Rogue quickly composed herself before slowly and lightly touching the man's hand, "Nice to meet you Clark, but do call me Rogue." Rogue felt a tingling sensation in the hand that touched Superman. She quickly took her hand back and looked at it. Then she looked up at him, "What are you, Clark?"

He frowned, "Well it seems everyone here knows my secret so I suppose its all right if I tell you two. I'm actually not from anywhere near Earth, I come from a planet called Krypton. It was destroyed moments after I was evacuated, Kara and I are its only survivor's. The powers I have are; super speed, flight, super hearing, really powerful breath, x-ray vision, microscopic vision, and super strength." He said.

Rogue swallowed before touching his arm again. There was the feeling again, "There's something about you... though... I can feel it. Something that you're not telling me."

'You're just crazy, Anna.' Rogue turned around and looked around the room. The voice continued, 'You just need something to make this surreal, you're making this all up...' She had heard the voice before but she didn't know whom it was. She continued to spin around before stumbling and walking forward towards a wall. She turned again back to the people. The voice finally stopped talking, leaving her confused and disoriented.

Kitty watched Rogue confused and then looked over at Clark, "I'm sure he told you everything Rogue." She said quietly. She watched as Rogue held her head, "Rogue?" She asked carefully. "Rogue are you ok?" She asked.

Rogue backed up against the wall rubbing her temples, "You know what it is, Kitty." She said obscurely, her heart started beating a little quicker, "Superman... have you ever... killed someone?" Her eyes trailed to his face, a harsh stare met him.

He hung his head regretfully, "Sadly I did, it was in an arena match and it was either me or her. In order to leave this world you have to kill a Villain or die trying." He said bitterly. He looked away as he tried to forget the way how Black Queen's bones had broken so easily against his hands. "Believe me, if I could take it back I would." He said.

Rogue rubbed her temples, "What was her powers? What was she known for? I need to know and quickly." Apparently the collars didn't protect her from absorbing minds. This could end badly, she mused.

He frowned, "She was a telepath and had telekinesis and she could control people." He said

Rogue's eyes widened, "Of that's not good... that's not good at all."

'Actually it's quite good. I'll get this body whenever I so choose...'

Rogue quickly looked down, grabbing her face and sliding down the wall unto the ground, "Was she powerful? Was she easy to stop? What were her weaknesses?" She needed to know everything if she was going to hold of the woman's plausible take over of her body.

Clark frowned, "We don't know her weaknesses we never found out. She was powerful, she almost killed me are you going to be ok?" He asked with concern as he stared at her worried.

"Not entirely sure, when I touch people... I gain the minds of people they've killed... sometimes. It's a rarity. It's happened... all of twice. except once eight billion minds were in my mind. It left me completely insane and each mind took over my body as it pleased. It wasn't very good from what I heard..." Rogue sighed before taking in a deep breath, "If I'm not careful she can and most likely will take over my body and try to cause havoc, but... I should have known this collar couldn't protect everyone around me." She hit the wall with a ton of brute force leaving a dent in it, "I just need to be careful and level headed..." She took a few deep breathes, "I hope I'm going to be find. It would suck if... I hurt people because I couldn't control something in my own mind."

He nodded as he stared at her in concern, "Can you normally feel someone taking over?" He asked as he placed his hand on her arm. He felt guilty, if only he hadn't touched her they wouldn't be in the mess.

Rogue thought for a minute, "No. I have no warning. Usually... I'm really hurt or upset. That's whn they take advantage of me wanting to hide or run away."

Kitty bit her lip, her heart went out to Rogue for having her mind be invaded like that, she could tell it bothered Clark too. "Is there anyway you could mentally shut her out?" She asked

Rogue looked down and thought for a moment, "Usually I'd have Xavier or Jean around to keep it at bay, but neither of them here..."

'I'll have you when I want, you cannot control me...'

rogue quickly looked to the side before shaking her head, "Maybe try to figure out how to shut the thing up.

'I am no thing! I'm a lady.'

Rogue ignored it for the moment, hoping she would calm down and be reasonable.

Clark frowned, "Does this happen only with people who have murdered someone?" He asked.

"No. Unfortunately, which is why earlier I refused to touch you. If I touch someone for too long I can kill them and absorb their powers and most likely their psyche. I did that to Mrs. Marvel..." Rogue looked away, "But eventually she disappeared into... well where-ever they go. I'm not sure."
