Looking for Laura

"Laura?" He peeked into her room, he couldn't find her anywhere. He stepped into her room, to find some kind of hint where she might have gone.

Laura walked down the hall, she had been dropped off by the protectors. Her hair was in her face, and, there was absolutely no emotion in her face. And, worse of all..She was working for the man who was responsible for all of this. Her head picked up, seeing Adam. When she saw him turn around, her eyes softened, before she fell forward..Passing out..

He turned around to see Laura. He smiled to her, but it faded when she fell forward. He rushed to her to catch her. "Laura?!" He shook her gently.

Laura didn't wake up, the only thing different about her..Was the medical dress she had on, and the marks from the shots. But, they were already healing, due to her superhealing. Her head stayed drooping back, her breathing was a little too slow..

He noticed the medical dress on her, and could see some bruises on her body again. "No, not again." He said as he lifted her up on the bed.

Two hours later...

Laura finally woke up, her vision a bit blurry, she didn't feel anymore. Her skin had gotten use the needles, making her marks and bruises vanish..Thanks to her super-healing ability. Her eyes wandered about, before she turned her head, seeing Adam right there..Looking at her, with fear in his eyes. Her eyes stayed on him, before she softly smiled..

And, it was barely noticeable as a smile..

He noticed her wake up, and turned to look at her. His face showed worry and fear. "What happened?"

Laura's eyes looked at him, her eyes widening when she remembered something..

You don't tell anyone..

She looked away, "Nothing.." She said, before turning on her side, wanting to cry, "I'm not allowed to say anything.."

He felt hurt at the first 'nothing'. But when she said she wasn't alowed to say anything, he understood. "What happens if you do say something?"

"Something bad..Something that makes me black out.." She said, before she started to finally cry. Her hands covering her eyes, before she started to tremble. Her back was facing him, due to she didn't want him to see her cry like this..

He scooted closer to comfort her. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her to his embrace. "What ever it is we will get through this."

Her eyes widened, before she turned around, crying into his chest.

"What ever it is we will get through this."

What if we can't, and, what if he makes me do something..To hurt you? She thought to herself, her head stayed buried in his chest.

He stayed silent with her, rubbing soothing circles in her back. He started to hum the familiar melody to her, knowing it calmed her down.

Laura had calmed down after a while, before she finally was able to stop gasping..She was getting weak, sitting up. She let herself lay back down, before looking up at him. Her green eyes, staring at him..

He smiled slightly at her. "Anything I can help you with?"

"Don't leave me.." She whispered at him...

It was the first time, she had ever said that..

He laid down next to her and pulled her to his chest. He entwined their fingers together. "Don't worry I won't." He said kissing her hand.

Laura looked at him, hugging him instantly, letting herself hold his hand. She smiled, "I like you..so much, Adam.."

He smiled softly to her. "I like you too." He pulled her closer, his cheek against her forehead.

Laura smiled, letting her head nuzzle underneath his chin. She lifted her head, giving him a small peck on the cheek.

He started to hum again. Only this timehe included some words.

"So where do I sail?

Laura smiled at him, before she hummed along, to shy to start singing..

He started to stroke her hair holding her gently in his arms. He had stopped singing, instead he just hummed the rest of the song to her.

Laura had fallen asleep in the middle of the song. Her breathing was smooth, her she looked so innocent..

He stopped his song, feeling that she had fallen asleep. He took her hand and put it to his chest. That's when he saw the gaping sores where her claws usally would come from. He looked to her sleeping face, in shock. He took a peek at one spot where she had had one of her bruises, but it was gone. He was puzzeled, but just held her closer, not wanting to let go. He too fell asleep after a while.
