With Polaris

Shadow King grimaced as he was flung back but he slowly stood up withstanding the power of the blast, "Is that the best you can do?" He asked mockingly as he made his way closer to Cyclops.

Scott gritted his teeth, shutting his eyes. He took a deep breath, charging himself. He took a step opening his eyes. The amount of energy that flew out of his eyes equated to about three H-bombs.

Shadow King was flung back and lost consciosness as he landed hard, Jean ran into the room and took in the situation, "Scott, close your eyes." She said as she summoned his visor to her hand.

Scott slowly squeezed his eyes shut, falling to a kneeling position. He roughly spoke out, "Is it out?" he asked, unsure of what to even call... it.

Jean glanced back at where Shadow King had fallen, "No, you just knocked Shadow King out, what are you doing here anyway?" She asked as she helped him up.

Scott kept his eyes close, feeling Jean move him to a standing position, "I found it. Found that thing when I went to save Lorna."

She nodded and then slid his visor on, "You can open your eyes now Scott." She said softly as she reached down and held his hand.

Scott felt his visor slip on, he opened his eyes and felt a bit light headed. He felt Jean's hand wrapped around his own, he looked over to her, "Do you think it's going to hunt me down after this?"

She bit her lip and looked over at Shadow King, Most likely....Scott I'll try and redirect his anger at someone who actually deserves it but you should go now before he wakes up...Lorna is further down the hallway and she's suffering from severe injuries." She said quietly and urgently

Scott nodded lightly, "Just be safe." He didn't want to leave her but he knew she was right. He quickly gave her a quick kiss on the cheek before moving outside to Lorna.

Jean watched him go and turned to look at Shadow King, she would give Scott enough time to escape before she bothered to wake him up.

Lorna looked at Scott when he showed up..She was on the ground..her burns were now more clear to see in the sun..On her right leg there were two big burns..and one on her left leg, and a stab wound in her stomach..which was also burnt..She had one long cut on her right arm, and it was deep..Her body just laid there as she was going to pass out..

Scott hadn't seen the woman's wound up close until now. He picked her up, making sure he wasn't touching an exposed wound, "I'm getting you help, don't worry." He whispered carrying her off towards Xavier's school.

Lorna looked at Scott, nodding her head as her body finally went limp and she passed out.
