Back with a Wonder

Diana covered her face, "A chicken beat you, Bruce?" her giggling from behind her hand stopped her from saying more.

Bruce groaned, "It wasn't just any chicken! Joker left it for me, it had something on it but I didn't know what. I picked it up and bam... I get whacked in the back of the head with a pipe and wake up with a concussion." Bruce rubbed the back of his neck, wincing again, "Man, it hurt a lot more than what I remembered pipe hurt like."

Clark nodded, "I wonder why he picked a chicken." He said thoughtfully and then coughed when Bruce looked at him, "Sorry after all chicken's can be intimidating and scary." He said sagely.

Diana nodded along with Clark, "He has a point... Bruce." Her snickers got the best of her.

"I would kick both of your asses, but I don't feel like it." Bruce folded his arms, "And it wasn't the chicken that should get you. The chicken was a distraction! wouldn't you get a little weirded... well maybe not Clark because he grew up on a farm. I grew up in a city, there isn't chickens unless in a store!" Bruce felt mortified, he shouldn't have told them how he was taken. But they were his best friends, he felt he should have told them anyway.

Clark nodded trying his best to keep a straight face, "You're right about chicken's being on a farm but uh how was the chicken a distraction?" He asked as he studied Bruce with interest.

Diana wiped her eyes, from laughing so hard, "My gosh, Bruce, you were beaten by a chicken."

"Joker's a messed up freak, okay? How am I supposed to know. Plus a MAN with a PIPE hit me. I just wanted to pick up the chicken." Bruce growled out, feeling miserable now. He really wished he had a chicken to throw at Diana and Clark.

Clark snorted and then gave Bruce an innocent look, "Of course picking up the chicken is a priority Bruce, so a guy hit you from behind? You didn't see what he looked like or anything like that?" He asked

Diana still couldn't get past the chicken. she snickered.

"No, Clark. I didn't, after being in a coma for seven months and getting out into the field so Tim isn't getting his ass killed. The chicken was a curiosity that wasn't my best judgement. I get it, I fucked up." Bruce barked out. He didn't enjoy when Diana and Clark ganged up on him.

Clark nodded and decided to stop poking fun at Bruce, he exchanged a look with Diana and the two nodded. "So Diana how did you get here?" He asked with a grin.

Diana recoiled again, "Bruce? You were what?" Diana asked quickly and loudly. She was surprised at it.

Bruce cursed in his mind quickly, damn it he fucked up. He was telling Clark not to say anything yet he himself let the cat out of the bag, "I went missing from the Justice League because in the middle of a fight Catwoman, Selina, was trapped in a building. I fought through to save her she got out and I didn't. The building was blown up with me inside. Dunno who found me or what condition I was in but I finally came to seven months later with a really freaked out Tim and a less freaked out Alfred." He took a deeper breath, "A few days later, against everyone's protest I left the Bat Cave and went searching. Selina had been missing the day I went into a coma. Barbara and Tim kept something about her from me, which I found out much later. Anyway long story short this has to be the longest time I've actually spoken." Bruce blinked, his personality still jacked up from the sudden merge of Brenna and himself. He couldn't focus on them, he kept thinking about other things.

Clark's eyebrows went up, "You were in a coma for seven months? I didn't even hear you had been in an accident until like a week before I got taken." He said in astonishment, "Are you sick? Or have aliens abducted the real Bruce? Because I distinctly remember you not talking this much." He said

Bruce frowned, "Clark I told you already..." When Clark kept talking he snorted, "Yes, I'm the Identity Thief!" He ran his hands through his hair, doubting any of them actually getting the joke, "But no." His voice moved back to an emotionless one, "I'm Bruce. Just... with... a personality change? I see that I need to change who I am around others."

Diana was shocked that Clark would actually say that. She watched the two talk, "It's about time you noticed that, Bruce. It's not every day we crash a party that makes you change your attitude." Diana smiled, "It's a nice change."

Clark nodded, "Diana's right and um however you got the change Bruce I'm sure it was worth it." Clark was about to say something about female hormone's but decided to keep his mouth shut. He coughed when Bruce looked his way and looked at Diana, "But you didn't answer my question earlier how did you get here?" He asked

Diana folded her arms, "Well, I was delivered a package. It didn't seem abnormal. I was pissed and kind of just opened it. Out came the attacking collar and I woke up to Boy Wonder here." she pointed at Clark, "Tell me that we're here."

Bruce shot a look at Clark, "Unibomber..." he muttered out, thinking about other things.

Clark bit back a smile, "Your collar attacked you? Did it grow fangs or something?" He asked teasingly before he glanced over at Bruce. At his words he frowned, "Unibomber?" He asked, honestly confused at what Bruce was muttering about.

Diana folded her arms, "I think it's Bruce and I's turn to pick on you. Did you're collar fly in with mystical powers? No? Then how did it get you?" She said, looking fiercely at him, she heard Bruce say something about the Unibomber.

"The Unibomber was a man that dressed up in a Delivery Man's uniform and delivered bombs to a Mayor. I don't remember what city, but that just made me think of it." Bruce sighed lightly, "Seriously, I'm not sure what Artemis put in the Danger room, but I'm not going back in there again for a long while."

Clark nodded and tried not to laugh at Bruce, "Well it did fly in with mystical powers, it got me when I was on my way to the fortress. One second I'm flying and the next I can feel something wrap around my neck and then I blacked out. Then I woke up by myself and made my way here." He said quietly.

Diana took the rope from her hip and hit Clark with it, "Shush, Clark." It was only teasingly of course.

Bruce raised an eyebrow, thinking to himself, "I still can't get over the fact that we all have the same hair color... and eye color... maybe we're all related in some weird way." Bruce wasn't feeling himself right now, he rubbed his face, letting out a cough. He frowned internally, if he was getting sick he was really going to kill Artemis.

Clark pretended to double over from Diana's whip, "Oh fair lady, don't wound me!" He said with a small smile playing on his mouth. He glanced over at Bruce and wondered what was on his mind but didn't bring it up as he was still playacting.

Bruce shook his head, waving at the two, "I'm going to pass out in a few minutes from shear lack of sleep. I'm going to bed, so unless you need me, bye." Bruce turned and left with that, he paused for a moment, "By the way, use protection Clark, we don't need more babies." Bruce continued walking until he was out of sight.

Diana raised an eyebrow, blushing harshly the conversation becoming a little more awkward.

Clark coughed, "Well that's Bruce for you, I swear he gets more subtle with age." He said with a weak laugh as he slowly got up. The atmosphere had suddenly become very awkward, "Do you want me to walk you to your room?" He asked.

"You act like the man ages." she ran her fingers through her hair, "No, not really... well not yet, mind showing me around first? Maybe some friend... I'm coming off like the long lost girlfriend, Bruce would know all about that." She made a noise of amusement but stifled it soon after, "A joke's not funny unless Bruce is going to hear it, and maybe that one was a bit... evil." she spoke soon after.

Clark smiled, "Well maybe it was but I won't say anything to him if you won't." He said with a grin, "All right so do you want to go to the Dining Room first?" He asked.

"Alright." She said, "And I don't mind, I guess it's fine." She tied her rope on his arm, "Now, if you try to lose me I have my rope to keep you down." She paused, her face getting red, "God damn it Bruce, now I can't actually think of anything without it becoming to sexual." Diana huffed, this was getting annoying.
