Lost and Found

Bruce made his way through the unfamiliar territory, vaguely aware that he had seen this place before. His mind was spent looking more like a civilian encase he was somewhere for business. He didn't remember Alfred telling him about such a thing, this made him a bit uneasy, but he pushed through t like the calm and collected man he knew he was.

Amanda came back from her trip to the hero mansion. She walked past the livingroom and saw movement there. She was surprised to see Bruce up. "Bruce!?" She said standing in the doorway, looking at him alarmed. "When did you get up?"

Bruce moved his head towards the woman that had spoken his name excitedly, "I have not been up too long." he didn't know the woman but the woman knew him. He was tempted to ask, but he needed information about where not who.

She walked to Bruce and made him sit down on the couch. "You shouldn't wander around. How are you feeling?"

Bruce resisted all of his urges to break the woman's arm as she made him sit. He didn't know who she was, he couldn't let her find any weakness. Though somethig nagged in his mind, "I'd hate to ask this, miss. But do I know you?" he blinked out, he didn't show any confusion or even puzzlement. Just the monotones, calm man many knew him to be.

She looked at him shocked. "Y-you don't remember.... anything?" She asked blinking her eyes in disbelief. "What can you remember?"

Bruce blinked, was there something wrong? Of course there was. Unless he was being held against his will and they were milkin him for information. It wouldn't be the first time Joker had done it, but Bruce was usually in costume for that, "Can you answer my question, please?" he asked politely, trying to base whether he could trust her with the knowledge she wanted.

She shook her head to clear it. "I'm sorry, that surprised me. Umm... My name is Amanda. I'm a friend of yours."

Bruce moved through the collective memories he could grasp, not find any that held an Amanda in them, "I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I have absolutely no idea who you are."

She bit her lip. "Then do you have any recollection of Superwoman?"

Bruce looked at his hands, "The only 'super' thing I remember was reading about a Superman in the papers." He looked up, lookin at her, "I assume you're Superwoman and somehow we have ties that I have no memory of." Bruce deduced quite quickly, using his intellect to his advantage.

She nodded. "I am Superwoman, yes. Should I try to fill you in on what has happened?" She didn't know what to do.

"Not the entirety of it all. Just the pieces I need to know or I might die ones. If my memory loss is stress related I do not way to lose more of it." Bruce explained, "Just one question for now, well two. One, who are you; two, where are we?"

She let out a long sigh before she proceeded to tell the whole story of the universe they were trapped in. Why they were there and why they had collars and she told him about who she was, and what was their relationship before he lost his memory. Also she told him how it happened.

Amanda obviously ha known him, this universe was something thought out of a horror movie. And he quite possibly lost his memory for tryin to save a girl from being raped. Seemed like one of the more normal things that could have happened, but as she told him that nothing came up to agree with her statements. No dramatic memories that came out of no where like you would see in the movies. Just a large empty feeling in the pit of his stomach, for brin unable to remember her, "This means you are a villain, correct?" he asked in a lower tone almost rivaling his batman voice.

She nodded. "I guess so." She looked into his eyes. "Does that bother you?"

Bruce rolled his shoulder, "No at all. It would not be the first time I had befriended a villainess." he spoke still in a tone lower, unsure if his voice was reverting into his mission mode or just out of quiet fear he might have forgotten something important.

She smiled. "Oh really? Who did you befriend? Maybe she is here too."

"Catwoman." he stated looking towards the ground, "I'd hope she isn't here if this is a place as you describe it as."

Her smile vanished. "She was here. She died in one of those matches. I'm sorry."

Bruce watched her frown almost knowing what she was going to say before she said it. Bruce nodded at the end of her statement, "I had only just begun to know her, from what I remember."

She looked down. "You had a child together. You told me that once."

Bruce was definitely not expecting that, "what?" he asked, almost unsure if the woman was tellin her the truth. Selina hadn't been the girl to settle down and he hadn't been the guy the wanted to settle down. It didn't seem like that could be true.

"I don't know the details, you just told me that once. You don't believe me, huh?" She said a bit hurt.

"It's not that I don't believe you... It's that I have no idea how Selina and I could have moved into that direction." he was beyond surprised never even thinking about the two of them in a relationship like that.
