So many thoughts

Laura needed to get out of the cabin..She kept looking at her stomach, and she needed to stop. She was walking through the calm part of the park. Though her mind kept going to the little life inside of her. Laura sat down, bending over as her elbows were on her knees and her hands were grabbing her head as she looked down.

Wally had decided to take a walk in the park. He saw a girl grabbing her head. She looked troubled, so he decided to see if he could help. "Umm... Hi! Can I help you somehow?" He offered.

Laura looked up immediately when she recognized the voice. Her eyes narrowed slightly, as his went surprised.

He was surprised to see Laura. ".... umm... Sorry, I'll just go then..." He said, not knowing how to act around her.

Laura looked down, not knowing what to do, "You can sit..I have forgiven you.." She said.

He looked back at her and then down on the ground. "Oh.. thank you...." He said quietly and sat down next to her. "So, how have you been doing since... I last saw you?" He asked cautiously.

Laura nodded a welcome, looking down. She looked at him as he asked her question, "Good.." She said, smiling softly, "How about you? Last time I saw you..you were doing drugs.."

He gave a small and awkward smile. "Good, that you are doing good..." He then looked at her surprised she was asking him that. "Yeah.... I started to use morfine, and then Batman found out and put me in detox.... So that is over now." He looked down again.

Laura nodded, "That's good..and I'm sorry that I tried to kill you.." She said as she looked down.

He smiled slightly. "It's okay, I kinda deserved it." He started to move the dirt on the ground with his foot. "Did that Jubilee girl find you?"

Laura nodded, before she looked down, "And..yeah she did.." She said, looking up at the sky. Her thoughts were away from the life inside of her, before she remembered and she suddenly got awkward.

He nodded. "Good. She told you didn't live in the brotherhood anymore." He looked at the ground. "I told her you would tell her about Adam. I feel like I am not able to do any justice to his story." He said quietly.

"I don't.." She said as she looked down, "And..I didn't tell her about Adam..We were catching up with each other." She said as she nodded to him, "How's Canary." Laura asked, with complete concern in her voice.

"She is doing good. The baby is growing and kicking more each day. I can't wait to hold her." He said smiling warmly. He then tensed a bit realising she didn't want him to raise the baby as his. "Sorry."

Laura kind of winced when she heard the baby word. She resisted the urge to make her hand go over her stomach. Her eyes looked away from him, "It's okay."

He saw her wince. "You okay?" He asked conserned.

Laura nodded, "I'm fine." She said, smiling at him.

He just looked at her. "I just thought you reacted that way for me saying I wanted to raise Ellen as mine." He looked down at his chest where the two scars were still under the shirt. He pointed to his chest. "You said you wanted me to not do so."

Laura looked at his chest, "I just said I wanted Ellen to know that your the person who killed her father..But I was full of rage, and regret doing that.." She said, looking away as her thoughts went back to the life inside of her.

He looked down. "I will tell her when she is old enough. I want her to have a happy childhood."

"Like I said..I said that out of anger..You don't have to.." She said, getting up to walk away.

He looked up at her. "Please don't go. And I will be more than happy to do it. Ellen deserves to know the truth." He got up and took her hand lightly in his. "Why were you looking so distressed before I came to talk to you?"

Laura looked at him, moving her hand away from him. She shook her head, "It's nothing.." She said..

He narrowed his eyes slightly, studying her. "You sure? I owe you you know. You can tell me and I can help you in any way I can." He said gently.

"You can't help me.." She said, looking at him.

No one can..

She looked away.
