No One Mourns the Wicked

Diana sat in her room, thinking about how Bruce and Chloe could just suddenly... be Day Walkers. There was a lot of genetics involved in the creation of them. It was almost inconceivable that they both would have perfect matches in genetic structures. She sighed, getting up and walking back to Clark's room. She'd need to explain herself to Clark. She felt bad to leaving, but she had to. She had a book in her hand, something she'd need to show Clark. She knocked lightly on Clark's door, "Hey, Clark, can I come in?"

He smiled as he was reading a book, "Come in!" He called and looked up to see Diana enter, "You all right? You left pretty fast earlier, something on your mind?" He asked quietly as he put the book down.

Diana opened the door and shut it behind her. Sighing she held up her book, "A long while ago I met a incubus. His name was Jean-Claude. He... used to talk about something called a Day Walker." Diana paused, "I wrote down everything the man said, but somethings... just seem really odd. Specially when you take into consideration both Chloe's attitude and Bruce's lack of opening up. You saw Bruce earlier, he had issues with keeping his tone in one octave, he was all over the place and a lot more emotional than I've ever. He was pretty much trying to say stuff without thinking; which got me thinking... Chloe could hear his thoughts and vise versa. Meaning... in the only was Jean ever told me was they bonded. There's another name for it of course but Jean never told me, said it wasn't the type for normal humans to know." Diana wasn't one to open up about her goddess roots. If she ever talked to anyone not in costume, she was just a really hot woman with all the right genetic markers to make some man try his luck.

Clark frowned, "So you're saying that Bruce and Chloe share a bond now? What type of bond? I mean is it dangerous?" He asked with concern for both of his friends.

Diana shook her head, "No, it's not dangerous at all. On the contrary it's... good. When one... Day walker finds someone with enough genetic markers that they fit perfectly together they bond. Of course you can't build a solid relationship on genetics alone but the fact that neither know, from what I saw, means it was done on a different plane then ours. Supernatural things are really weird and it takes a mythos to know a mythos. But there are things we do need to worry about, about them. There are only a few day walkers for certain reasons. They're rare because genetically speaking you need to have certain... genes, DNA, for you to actually become one. As previously stated, both share the perfect Day Walker genetics. But that also means anyone with blue eyes... green eyes, shares that genetic mutation that can cause it." Diana was trying to explain without coming off as a babbling idiot.

Clark bit his lip, 'So because they have similar genes they both got the Daywalker mutation? What else does this bond entail? I mean is there more to it then them reading each other's thoughts?" He asked curiously

"Probably, I haven't exactly re-read ll of my notes yet. But, this could be a good thing for Bruce, getting him out of his damnable trust issues with people that we both know he has. And it... I don't really know Chloe so... I don't know how that would be helpful to her." Diana said, thinking. Opening the book and flipping pages.

"Yeah that's true enough about Bruce, Chloe....I think it'll be good for her too, but I think something else bothered you today. Am I right?" He asked quietly.

"What happened in the arena, Clark?" Diana's eyes showed some worry. Bruce's only moral to crime fighting was kill know one, would he snap if he found out?

Clark sighed, "Bruce killed Scarecrow....it was an accident though and I think he just forced the memory back so that may be why he doesn't remember what happened." He said sadly.

"Maybe... how was the match going though? We it kind of just one-two-knock out or...?" Diana felt horrible for not being there and supporting her friend.

Clark frowned, "It was a drawn out fight...Scarecrow had had an obssesion with Brenna, Bruce's female side of him. I don't know if you were there when Bruce got turned into a girl anyway Scarecrow almost had Bruce kill himself but Bruce was able to prevail and instead killed him." He said as he rubbed his hair.

Diana blinked, "I don't wanna know how the girl thing happened. Anyway, what happened with Scarecrow trying to get Bruce to kill himself? How did he achieve that?"

Clark sighed, "The Scarecrow was using his fear gas on Bruce and he was trying to make him commit suicide so he could join his parents. Bruce barely managed to fight it off....I'm just happy that he's alive." He said

"I see..." Diana sighed, "Happier topic?" she asked, looking at Clark, tossing the book in her hand on the night stand.

Clark smiled at her, "Well I'm all ears beautiful." He said with a smile as he pulled her into his arms.

Diana sat on Clark's lap, peeking him on the cheek wrapping her arms around him. She laughed lightly, "Well... how have you been?"

'Honestly, pretty good and yourself?" He asked as he kissed her on the cheek.

Diana put her head on Clark's chest, feeling flustered but the cuteness that was going on, "I've been fine."

Clark wrapped his arms around her, "Yeah....so what do you want to do today?" He asked as he held her.

"We could walk around the garden... I've got nothing." Diana said, listening to Clark's heart beat.

He smiled down at her, "All right a garden walk it shall be milady." He said and gently helped her off his lap.

Diana lightly stood up, waiting for Clark to get up. She slightly mused when he might make the move to make them an official couple. She'd have to keep dropping hints.

Clark escorted her out of the room and down to the Garden, he knew she was probably wondering when they would actually have sex but he wasn't quite ready to take that step yet. "So how have you been today?" He asked slightly awkwardly.l
