What is this place?

Lorna appeared in a unfamiliar place. She looked around in horror, backing up as she ran around. She wanted to find a exit, but she couldn't find one, "Where am I?" Lorna asked herself.

A dark chill wind whipped Lorna's hair and the sand that had been set down eons ago started to rise up, it seemed there was no end to this desert wasteland. Up ahead there came loud noises that sounded unearthly as other beings became aware of Polaris's arrival, the zoners but Polaris was safe for the moment...

Lorna shrieked when she felt a dark chill whip through her hair. She turned around, before turning around when the sand started to rise up. She backed up, staying silent..

Someone...help me..

The desert loomed up on all sides of Lorna, showing only dunes and the occasional craggy mountain landscape. There was no trail but the shrieks were starting to become louder from the east, perhaps if Lorna went west she might yet be safe.

Lorna's eyes widened more when she heard shrieks from the east. She backed up and started to run west, running for her life.

SOMEONE, HELP ME!!!

The path she had chosen was safe for now but behind her the Zoners were following her trail, earnestly seeking a body in which to escape their prison...

Lorna kept running before she tripped, twisting her ankle. She shrieked, grabbing her ankle. Her eyes softened as she felt the tears form in her eyes. She then heard the shrieks again, making herself get up as she started to run, whimpering each time her ankle stung.

The shrieks became closer if Lorna turned around now she would see figures flying towards her, draped in black ragged cloaks....what their plans for her were unclear..

Lorna turned back, her eyes widened when she saw figures draped in black ragged cloaks. She screamed as she turned back to face where she was running. Though she suddenly tripped, screaming as she turned around as she backed up fast..

The Zoners kept coming until they attacked Lorna, they tried to enter her body but they were unable to as they could only enter a body once they had left the Phantom Zone. However they were injuring her just by attempting it...it seemed they would never stop....

Her eyes widened as she threw her arms over her face, screaming in pain as they attacked her. She could feel herself get clawed up, "SOMEONE HELP ME, PLEASE!!" She screamed, crying in pain, "HEEEEEELP!" Lorna was now laying on the ground, screaming in pain as they kept attacking.

From off in the distance a newcomer arrived, Karen Starr also known as Power Girl her eyes accessed the situation before she withdrew a Kryponian object that had the symbol of the house of El engraved on it. She held it up and walked towards Polaris as she neared the Zoner's they flew away from her as the rays touched them.

Lorna laid there in a fetal position, feeling the figures leave her alone. She had some bad cuts and she was bleeding. She laid there as she cried, curling more into the fetal position. Her clothes were ripped at some places as the cuts bleed and tinted her clothes with red.

Karen Starr approached her and studied her, "You're not Kryptonian are you?" She asked as she bent to pick her up.

Lorna heard a voice, looking up at the woman. She backed up fast, shrieking in pain as she stopped backing up and just brought her knees to her chest. She shook her head, "What is a Kryptonian?"

Karen sighed, "Kryptonians are aliens like me, we come from the planet Krypton but I won't youok I promise. We need to hurry though unless you want the Zoners to come back." She said and held out her hand to this young woman.

Lorna looked at her, nodding to her. She grabbed her hand as she got up, only to shriek in pain as her ankle that had twisted stung. It had a huge cut on it, making it harder to balance on.

Karen grimaced and then picked up Polaris, "I hope you don't mind but we really have to go." She said and headed off through a hidden path.

Lorna nodded as she winced in pain, keeping herself awake..

She wanted Jason, Pietro and her father back..

Karen led her to her tent and gently set her down on a mat that was on the floor, "So how did you end up here?" She asked as she got a bowl of water out and a cloth.

Lorna sat on the ground, looking down as she explained how she got here. She winced in pain, closing her eyes in pain, "Why did those things attack me?"

Karen sighed and gently used the cloth to wipe the blood away from some of her injuries, "They're called Zoners, they look for bodies to inhabit once they find a way out." She said quietly.

Lorna winced when she wiped the blood away, she then looked down, "I..don't like the sound of that.." She said as she looked down and felt the tears form up in her eyes. She kept looking down..

Karen bit her lip and gently kept wiping the cuts on her face, "My name is Karen by the way Karen Starr." She said quietly

Lorna nodded, wincing in pain as she shrieked when she reached her ankle. Her eyes closed, and it was clear she was slowly going into shock.
