After burning memories

He walked with Laura to the living room. He sat down on the couch, looking up at her. "You okay?"

Laura nodded, "Yeah.." She said, sitting next to him. Her eyes went straight down to her hands. Her long black hair fell in front of her face.

He leaned his back against the couch and lifted his legs on the couch, hugging them to his chest. "You still don't want to talk about it?" He asked glancing to her from the corner of his eyes.

Laura looked down more.

Why do you want to know about it.

"Why do you want to know?" She asked, her voice was soft, and she was trying not to sound rude..

He shrugged his shoulders. "I dunno, just making conversation. Plus I'm curious."

Laura stared at the, unknown to the fact that some cuts that were now scars on her wrists, were now showing, "It's not a easy thing to talk about..And it's something I'm still getting over..like you said..the coats were connected to something.."

He saw the cuts on her arms, but decided he wouldn't bring them up just yet. "I'm not telling you to tell me everything. I'm just asking, it's all up to you if you want to tell me." He said turning his head to look at her now.

Laura looked at him, before she looked away, "I just lost two people I loved..One that I wanted a future with..and one who I loved.."

"They died?" He asked a bit confused. "I'm sorry about that."

"One did..one left me.." She said, before getting up to walk to one of the windows, putting up her mask. She leaned against the wall as she looked out the window.

He looked at her, sensing a change in her mood, like something just came up between them. He nodded slowly. "Yeah, that really sucks. I hope you feel better now though, it's the letting go part that is difficult."

Laura stared at the window, "You don't know how hard it is for me.."

He stood up and walked to the window, looking out seeing the burnt remains of the coats. "I probaply don't, but I can try. Besides I have had hardships too in my life. Everytime I do, I do that." He said pointing to the ashes.

Laura looked up at him, she became a little speechless. She looked away, getting ready to turn around.

He felt her uncomfortable around him now. He glanced at her from the corner of his eye. "I'm a pyromaniac just so you know, if you haven't already guessed." He walked back to the couch observing her reaction.

Laura looked at him as he walked to the couch, her eyes were a little bit wide, before they softened. She let her claws come out, "I'm a weapon.."

He snorted a laugh. "No you are not! You are a woman. And I won't believe you if you say that you are a weapon." He pointed to her claws. "Those are just an extension of you. They don't make you a weapon."

Laura narrowed her eyes, "How do you know?" She asked, trying to keep her guard and mask up, "You don't know nothing about me."

Stop trying to put down my mask..

He narrowed his eyes. "That's true, but I don't see you as a weapon."

Laura looked at him before she looked down, leaning on the wall. She crossed her arms.

He smiled a bit, seeing her expreccion. He got up and patted her shoulder. "Well I think I'll go to my room. If you want to talk some more I'll be there." He said as he left the room holding his hands in his pockets.

Laura's eyes looked away from him, before she listened to him leave the room. When she knew he wasn't near the room anymore. Her face deformed into sadness, letting herself break down silently. Her hands covered her eyes, crying, but she was making no sound.
