Quiet Time

Scott sat on the couch in the living room, silently reading over a book he had found on the shelf. His days had been boring as of recently with not even a single visit from Jean. He began to wonder if anything had happened to her after his mistake.

Pietro decided he wanted to read in the living room and walked into the room. That's when he saw someone he didn't expect.


"Scott?" Pietro asked in shock.

Scott turned the page, hearing a voice he loosely remembered. 'Oh God it's that annoying kid.' he muttered in his mind, looking up, "Yes, Pietro?"

Pietro walked around the couch and sat down. He placed his book on his lap.

"When did you get here, One Eye?" Pietro narrowed his eyes jokingly,

"Not sure, don't remember." He said, plainly showing his distaste for the joke; even though it was a commonly made one.

Pietro shook his head at Scott he was always such a stick in the mud.


"So how have you been since getting here?" Pietro asked politely.

"I met my dead wife, that was fun." he said sourly, he was a bit upset she hadn't come to see him again since the incident, but he didn't know if she could have been dead... or worse.

Pietro raised his eyebrows. "At least you know she's alive."

"It's nice, better than nice it's fantastic. But me being here is causing more harm then good for her." He stated, the kid even just a year in age difference didn't understand the world like he did. Didn't know the things he did.

Pietro looked at Scott in confusion. "How is you being here causing her harm?"

Chloe slowly made her way back to the Mansion a few times she would stumble and fall over, she hoped she didn't run into Thomas.....otherwise she would be headed back to Johnny. She shuddered just thinking about it....never again she thought. She made her way inside the Mansion and stumbled again, it was getting harder and harder to process anything, the room kept spinning and she staggered towards the Living Room, "Could som-" Whatever she was about to say next was lost as she collapsed in a faint.

Scott would not have answered anyway, but his attention turned to the woman that clearly fainted in the living room. He knew the girl could heal people, including herself if placed in the Danger room. He quickly stood up, looking her over making sure she was alright before picking her up slowly, "Pietro, shut down the Danger Room. We need to use it without it going off because the last person left it on." he mumbled out.

"Right." Pietro ran to the danger room shutting it down as fast as he could while Scott brought Chloe to the room.
