Seven Devils

Chloe woke up with her stomach churning and barely made it to the bathroom in time, she dry-heaved into the toilet and almost felt like crying. She hadn't even registered that Bruce was still in the room, she gasped and then scooted back from the toilet as she waited for the nausea to settle down. Ok being pregnant sucks she thought bitterly as she leaned back with her head between her knees.

Bruce watched with a raised eyebrow as Chloe moved quickly to the bathroom before wincing as the sounds he heard from behind the closed door. Bruce slide off the bed, making his way to the door, "Are you all right?" He asked, hoping she wasn't getting too ill as a side effect to her parasite.

Chloe bit her lip before she dared to answer Bruce, "Um....I'll be fine." She managed after she fought back another wave of nasuea. After the sickness passed she slowly stood up and hunted down her toothbrush to brush her teeth, she flushed her toilet and continued to brush her teeth. After checking to make sure she looked ok she opened the door and bit her lip, "I think I have an idea of why I'm pregnant and why that pill didn't work." She said.

Bruce stood up abruptly from leaning on the door as Chloe opened it. He paused for a moment, thinking of words to say, "That was a bit... not what I was expecting, what is your theory, though?"

She sighed, "Daywalkers are more fertile right? And we were Daywalkers when this all happened add to that I have a healing ability. My theory is that my body somehow must have rejected the pill you gave me at a faster speed then it was supposed too. Or at the very least caused it to stop working." She said as she thought about it.

Bruce paused, thinking over her statement, "But wouldn't that mean there's a possibility that Johnny is the father?" He whispered out lightly, there was a possibility and it had to be thought over.

She bit her lip, "If that's true then I guess...I really hope that's not the case." She bit her lip as she tried not to shudder from the fact that she could be carrying his child.

Bruce placed his hand on Chloe's shoulder, "We'll hope it's not, but until we can really get a test on the child we'll have no idea."

She nodded, 'Right." She said quietly, her mind filled with memories that were all worth forgetting in her eyes. She was going to have to tell Bruce about the other thing at some point....she just wasn't quite sure how to bring it up.

Bruce tried to grab Chloe's attention again, her eyes showing pain and something he couldn't identify, "New topic?" He asked lightly, hoping to get her mind out from the deepness of her mind.

She nodded, "Um yeah." She cleared her throat and forced her mind from the gloom that it seemed to be stuck in. "I think my mind has just frozen over....I can't really think of anything at the moment." She said apologetically.

"Neither can I, which is a first." He said lamely almost wondering what to do.

Chloe smiled, "Well how about we take a walk outside and see if we get any insipiration?" She asked with a wide smile as she looked up at him.

Bruce looked at her, looking outside. It was still day-light, "Fine, but if I start to tan I'm not going outside until I lose it." He stated with a hint of amusement on his voice.

She laughed, "I'm sure you'll be just fine Bruce." She said with a giggle before she led the way out.

Bruce let the corner of his mouth twitch, following Chloe outside.
