As a family.

Kara was on the floor, watching James playing with his teddy bear. She was still teaching him how to walk. Though she figured the reason he was walking so soon, was because of the alien trait in him.

James looked at him mom, laughing as he tried to walk to her. Only to fall and crawl towards her.

Kara laughed, picking up her son as she held him and gave him a Eskimo kiss.

Clark headed down to the Living Room and smiled when he saw Kara and James, he looked down at Krypto and smiled, "Ok buddy, remember Kara? Well that's her son so be nice ok?" He asked with a smile before he entered the Living Room. "Hey Kara." He said with a large smile as he came into the room.

Krypto growled out at Kara, pausing when he saw something else moving around. He stopped growling on command from Kal El. "I remember." His speak spoke, a low set growl in his throat showing is animosity for the woman. Batman had said he was a great judge of character and he wasn't going to change unless someone convinced him.

Kara heard a growl, making her hug her son tight to her. She looked up at Clark, "Hey, Clark." She said as she smiled.

James smiled at Clark, before he clinged to his mother when he heard the dog growl.

Kara held James close to her.

Clark looked down at Krypto, "Krypto...you're scaring James." He said quietly as he gestured at the baby in question.

Krypto's ears fell back, tucking his tail under his legs. He laid down on the ground with a soft whine. Kal El trusted her for now, he'd do the same.

James turned to look at the dog..And when his mother loosened her grip. He crawled out of it, crawling towards the dog.

Kara watched James crawl to Krypto, looking back up at Clark. She patted the floor next to her, indicating he could sit.

Clark smiled and sat next to Kara, "So how has your day been?" He asked quietly as he watched Krypto eye James with worry.

Krypto crawled forward, crouching on the ground. He paused a few inches from James. He sniffed the boy, letting a whine out. He smelt like Kara but like someone canine. He wasn't sure what he was smelling.

James stopped when the dog walked to him. He tilted his head, before walking a bit closer. He put his hand out, wanting to pet the dog..

Kara looked at him, "Busy, James has a lot of energy today." She said as she laughed softly, gripping her cousin's hand fast when she saw James reaching his hand out to Krypto.

Clark glanced down, "Its ok Krypto won't hurt babies, right buddy?" He called over to Krypto who seemed a little confused by James.

Krypto stared at the baby attempting to touch him. The baby grabbed his nose, causing him to snort out in protess, "Let go." his speaker announced to everyone.

Kara's eyes widened when she heard those two words. Which made her get up, walking to James as she picked him up.

James didn't like that the dog snorted at him, making him whimper as he started to cry.

Kara started to bounce James softly, trying to calm him down.

Clark sighed, "I know James doesn't know this but he was cutting off Krypto's air supply." He said defensively as he watched James slowly start to calm down.

Krypto backed away from the group, whimpering. He didn't mean to make the child cry, he just couldn't breath, "I'm sorry." his speakers spoke loudly in the room. He was shaking lightly in nervousness.

Kara looked at Krypto, "It's not your fault." She said as she looked at her son.

James had calmed down, burying his head on his mother's shoulder.

"It's James's first time around a dog. So we know it isn't your fault."

Clark motioned Krypto over to him, "Its ok buddy, we're not mad at you ok?" He said calmly.

Krypto stood up tilting his head, "I'm not in trouble?" He clearly heard the child calming down, he kept his head low. Incase the woman decided to lash out at him.

Kara looked at Krypto, "Your not in trouble, promise." She said as she smiled as she went to sit down to give James his teddy bear.

James started to bite on his teddy bear's ear.

Clark shook his head, "Its not like you bit James, so no you're not in trouble Krypto." He said quietly.

"Then why did he cry?" Krypto asked, not understanding what would cause him to cry. He had caused the crying so wouldn't he be in trouble? He was confused.

Kara looked at James, "Because he hasn't been next to a dog before, and hearing a snort come out of you, must have fightened him." She said as she let James sit on her lap, facing Krypto.

James just stared at Krypto.

Clark nodded, "Really Krypto, its ok." He said as he got up from his seat on the floor to sit on the couch. "So how have you been Kara?" He asked.

Krypto moved to the baby again, pushing his nose onto the baby's head. He watched it fall on its rear. He tilted his head in confusion. Normally when he did that they didn't fall. what was different?

James fell back on his mother's lap. He tilted his head at the dog. He had a expression as if he was going to cry..But he suddenly laughed.

Kara smiled softly.

James reached out his hands.
