Healing the Bat

Chloe shot Pietro a sympathetic look before following Bruce, she wasn't sure what Bruce's problem was. After all if she was willing to help him why would he get angry? Men are so weird sometimes she thought

Bruce watched as Pietro followed. The man must seriously have a thing for saving him. It was slightly unnerving. After Pietro had come in he shut down the Danger room to only control the lights. He stayed silent for the most part.

Pietro shrugged. If he only went were he knew were he was wanted he would be living in a strip club.


Pietro waited calmly for them to start what ever they were going to do. Even with Bruce not having powers he wasn't going to try to anger the guy enough to actually throw him out. Really Pietro was just bored and they were doing something moderately interesting. Pietro knew Bruce didn't need anyone there.

Chloe hesitantly approached Bruce, "This won't hurt." She said with a small smile before she leaned over and touched his hand. A warm golden glow flowed from her hand to his and then traveled around up and around until he was glowing. Chloe bent over in pain as she absorbed the Titan project, of course it wouldn't hurt Bruce but it was causing her immense pain. Once the golden glow seeped away from Bruce, Chloe lost her balance and collapsed she was pale and starting to lose consciousness.

Bruce wasn't expecting her to do that so quickly. He felt an odd sense of strength come back that he hadn't even known he was missing. He watched her pale and begin to fall, he caught her quickly using his reflexes. He moved her to a bridal position in his arms, looking over at Pietro, "That was quite anticlimactic." He said in his usual monotone voice.

Pietro moved beside Bruce. "Is she going to be ok?" Pietro asked in concern. "Should we take her to the Med Lab?" Pietro looked Chloe over as she laid in Bruce's arms.

Chloe slowly came too and even though she still felt weak she shook her head, "If you take me to my room and let me sleep I should be fine." She said even as a chill shook her body. She hated it when her body reacted like this, it made her stay in bed for at least a day or two.

Bruce nodded, knowing where her room was. He looked at Pietro, "You coming are are you going to leave and go somewhere else?" Since he knew Chloe wouldn't most likely want to be bothered by his obvious flirting attempts, even if she didn't mind it. He minded it, very much so.

Pietro smiled an rolled his eyes jokingly. If she wanted him to leave he would but he wanted to help if he could.


"Chloe, do you want me to get you something to eat or drink? I can get your coffee if you want or something else." Pietro offered.

Chloe glanced in Pietro's direction and smiled, "Coffee would be great and ohh I am craving a sandwich I don't care what's on it, just so long as its edible." She said eagerly. After healing someone, her body tended to need a refuel so she wasn't surprised when her stomach growled. She was still wondering about Bruce's behavior, but she didn't say anything just yet.

Bruce silently thanks Chloe for trying to get Pietro out of the room. He didn't understand why Pietro bugged him so much, maybe because he reminded himself of him in his younger years, womanizer by trait. Didn't help that women threw themselves at him because of his money, his looks were just an huge added bonus.Bruce waited for Pietro to leave before he, himself, would bring Chloe to her room.

Pietro nodded. After leaving he cleaned up the coffee in the living room. and took the tray to the kitchen, were he made Chloe a sandwich. He refilled the pot of coffee and headed up to her room.
