Murderess`

Brenna looked at the man next to her, well more like stared. She eyes watched the curl in front of his face. Her eyes moved slowly down the man’s body, she felt weird about it. The man fell asleep while watching over her, she didn’t understand if she should be flattered or feel insulted thinking that he thought she couldn’t protect herself. She sighed moving off the bed, walking quickly out of the room they were in. She was sick of being in the Medical Lab, she felt like they wanted her there just to play with their new science project. She frowned before moving out of the building, with Bruce’s memories clearly intact she knew the layout of the building.

She looked outside, it was sunny and beautiful. Her eyes scanned everywhere from the bushes to the trees. To that tree, her eyes fell onto it. It’s was a pin tree with strong enough arms to hold Bruce’s heavier body. It would be easy to climb it and pretend like she was Bruce. She quickly ran up the tree grapping a few branches to pull herself up. She crawled into Bruce’s hiding spot in the tree, it was clearly marked out with little Batman symbols on the truck. She rubbed her thumb over the marks, “Who are you, Bruce? Who are you really…?” she whispered out. She wanted to meet the real Bruce, even though it would never be possible. Being the same body meant that would never happen. She pressed her head on the tree truck, “Who are you, Bruce Wayne and why are you not here…?” She whispered out again, her eyes letting tears fall down her face. She shut her eyes, “Bruce, they need you. More then they say. Tell me how to get you back.”

Of course there was no reply except from the wind blowing the limbs of the tree in Mother Nature’s song. Brenna’s body shock in her sobs, half tempted to beat up the tree but should wouldn’t. This was Bruce’s tree, she wouldn’t kill him like she killed him. She wiped her eyes, but more tears feel. Something inside of her told her that it wasn’t her fault, but it had to be. She killed Bruce, he was everyone’s comrade. Everyone knew him in only good faith and she destroyed it. It seemed like a rough blow but it was true… the Joker had succeeded. Batman was dead and in his place was a weak girl that couldn’t even function without someone’s help. Brenna looked down at the tree, wondering would anyone care to see her go. She wanted to talk to Scarecrow, something she needed to do. She needed him to fix her, they needed Bruce… much more then they needed this little weak girl named Brenna.

Jonathan was in a foul mood. He was angry at Superwoman and himself for being a total fool. He had decided to go for a walk in hope it would calm him down. He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't realize he had ventured in the heroes territory and the garden. He came to a large tree and sat down on it's root, leaning against its trunk. He closed his eyes. The wind felt nice against his face. Suddenly a small branch fell on his head. He rubbed his head and looked up. He heard faint sobbing coming down from the tree.

"Who's there?!" He called. He reached for his gas gun, ready to shoot.

Brenna hushed her sobs, wondering if the branch she had hit had her someone. She looked down to see, none other than the Scarecrow, "Scarecrow?" she asked liked, sobs choking her throat.

"Brenna?" He asked surprised. He hadn't expected to meet her again... "What are you doing up there?"

Brenna wipped her eyes, "This... this was where Batman used to sit and think... I thought maybe... if I sat here I'd be a little more like him. What everyone wants, Batman." Brenna choked out a sob, trying not to let Scarecrow see it.

Jonathan averted his eyes to the ground. He could hear she was trying to not cry again. He didn't know why but he felt sorry for her... And it was partially his fault she was like this in the first place. "I'm sorry, Brenna. I really am.." He said in a small voice, not sure if she heard it. "Hold on. I'll climp there." He called to her and started to climp. He almost fell a few times but managed to get beside Brenna on the tree branch she was. He sat carefully and looked a head.


"The.. Scenery is nice..." He whacked himself upside the head mentally for the lame start. "Brenna. I'm really sorry for all that happened in my lab..."

Brenna helped the man up to the branch across from her, "No you're not. You were getting revenge on a man that ruined your plans. Your upset that you're hurting someone you don't even know, which is surprising since you do it all the time to people yet you feel no remorse... what makes me different that everyone doesn't seemed to treat me like a human being. Everyone treats me like some freak." Brenna stared at Scarecrow, "What makes me different."

She was right... He really wasn't all that sorry about what he did to Batman himself. But he was sorry how it was affecting Brenna. He was so confused as to why...

"Honestly, I don't know..." He said. "But I do know your not a freak. That's like comparing you to us villains. Like the Joker. You can't get freakier then that guy..." He tried to console her.

"Yes you can. You can be the result of a science experiment in the name of torturing a vigilante." Brenna rolled her eyes, this man was trying to make her feel better. She could appreciate that.

Jonathan flinched. "Sorry... I wish I could get it all undone..."

(OOC: sickeningly short post... T.T)

Brenna sighed, "I know... I know that you know how you can fix it. To make it right... I have faith you can." Brenna looked down, "I don't want to exist. I shouldn't have ever existed in the first... place." The world around Brenna blurred and twirled, she started coughing into her hand. A sticky, red substance coated her hand. Brenna's hand shook, "No, no, no..." she chanted out.

"I don't know if I can... Because I have no clue what I did wrong with the steroid and..." he paused as Brenna started couching.. blood! "Brenna! You alright?! Shit..." He balanced her with his arms so she wouldn't fall down from the tree.

"I remember this happening to Batman, he... Joker's titan poisons you." Brenna let her full weight on Scarecrow, knowing fully well the man would try his best to help her. Brenna felt her body feel weak, "Batman only lived last time because of Mr. Freeze. His cure saved him." Her eyes blinked slowly, her coughing so much leaving blood seeping through her fingers

Jonathan held her securely against himself. "Poison's you..." He repeated. "Mr. Freeze... So there is a cure excisting! Do you remember or know anything about the cure? How it was made? Anything." He inquired anxiously. If he even knew a fraction about the cure he might be able to come up with something...

"Take me to the lab, I'll draw out the enzyme... I'll help you. Just please, don't let Bruce die. Bring him back, please." She stopped coughing for the moment, but the world around her was quite blurry.

"Okay." He said. "You don't look like you can climp though. Just wrap your arms and legs around me and I'll get us both down."

Brenna slowly complied, moving her arms and legs around the man, hoping he wouldn't hurt himself.

They got down pretty easily. Jonathan took hold of Brenna's legs to support her weight on his back. She was too weak to walk on her own right now. He started walking as fast as he could while carrying her back to his lab.
