Kitty nodded numbly and went with Wade up to her room, she couldn't believe she was pregnant with Lance's child. She was grateful Wade was with her, otherwise she might have lost it. She slowly crept onto her bed with one hand on her stomach, she was relieved when Wade got next to her.

Wade laid down next to Kitty and held her as she cried. He didn't know how to help her. Tell her, 'Everything is okay! You got raped by a jerk who's now dead?' For some reason, he didn't think that was a good idea.

"I'm sorry, Kitty." Is all he could manage.

Kitty turned to look at him, "Don't be." She whispered and smiled weakly up at him. She brushed some tears away from her eyes and bit her lip. She was afraid that Wade might decide to leave her and honestly who could blame him if he did? She tried not to let that show though.

Kitty could feel tears start up and forced them back, "Thank you Wade." She whispered. She let out a sigh as she lay back down, she could feel tiredness creep up on her and soon she was fast asleep.

Wade knew Kitty was asleep when her breathing slowed down and got deeper.

"Kitty, I promise I will protect you and your child with all my being."

Kitty woke up to the comforting feel of an arm protectively holding her and glanced over to see Wade lying next to her. She smiled sadly as she remembered the events of earlier and gently removed Wade's arm from her so she could use the bathroom. "I love you." She whispered quietly. She got stuff ready for a shower and then slipped inside the bathroom.
