An old "friend" has come to play

Mystique stood in front of Xavier's School For The Gifted and smirked to herself. Time to see what my old "friends" are planning... She thought, before transforming into a beaten up, worn out looking Rogue.

She made sure she added the "collar" just to make sure they wouldn't suspect anything. She threw a droid onto the ground and ran from it as it started shooting lasers at her.

"HELP! KITTY! SOMEONE!" She shouted, in Rogue's voice.

She "tripped" and turned over. She gasped as the vicious looking machine came closer to her. "Get back you-!" She shouted, throwing a rock at the machine, before she heard a familiar gasp.

"Rogue!" She heard Kitty shout.

"Rogue" smirked to herself. Here, Kitty, Kitty... Come play with Aunt Mystique...

Kitty raced forward and without thinking of the consequences phased through the droid causing it to short-circuit. She winced as her neck burned and she turned to face Rogue, "Rogue! When did you get here?" She asked and hurried forward to hug her.

"Rogue" returned the hug. "Ah don't know. A couple adays? Ah woke up in tha stadium alone with one of these thangs on." She said, pointing to her neck to show the collar. "When two of those thangs attacked me. Ah ran for a couple adays. Ah was able to get one of them to shoot the other and hoped tha other ones batteries would run out sooner or later, or that Ah would get home before it killed meh." She said, before grabbing onto Kitty's shoulders.

"Kitty, what is going on? One minute, Ah was helping the others look for you, Logan, and Storm when tha next thing Ah know, Ah'm knocked out and waking up at tha stadium with a funky looking collar on." She asked, not getting what was going on or anything.

Kitty bit her lip, something felt off about Rogue's story but she wasn't sure what "Oh, well we're in an Alternate Universe that has supers fight against each other. In order to leave this place we have to finish twenty rounds....there's a slight catch though....you have to kill your opponent in order to continue on to the next round." She said

"Rogue's" eyes widened at Kitty's story. "What? That's just crazy! The Professor always told us not to kill or whatever! What kind of mixed up alternate universe is this?" She asked, acting frustrated and a bit freaked out.

"Yeah, I know, right?" Kitty said, before standing up. "Let's get you inside, I bet you're starving." She said, helping Rogue up.

"Yeah, Ah am pretty hungry." "Rogue" said, holding her stomach a little.

"Come on, you'll love Flash and Black Canary!" Kitty said, grabbing her and pulling her into the house.

Mystique looked at her funny. "What's a "Flash" and why do you have a canary in tha house?" She asked, with Rogue's voice.

"Oh, no, Flash and Black Canary are superheroes from another universe! They're, like, really cool! And Flash is the sweetest ever!" Kitty said, smiling as she pulled Rogue into the house.

"Um, okay..." Mystique/Rogue said. Once Kitty's back was too her, her face turned dark.

Looks like I have more to deal with then I thought...

Kitty turned to look back at Rogue and then smiled at her, "So what's happened at home, is everyone ok?" She asked.

"Yah, but we're going crazy looking for ya'll three. What's happened here?" She asked. as they walked into the living room.

"Whoa! This place sure looks like home." Rogue/Mystique said, looking around the room in "amazement".

She had already seen what the inside looked like...

She had, after all, made a visit to the Danger Room awhile back...

"It really does, doesn't it? I'm sure Mr. Logan will be happy to see you." She added and led her towards the living room.
