Deadly Sinners

Raven moved back into the Danger Room. She knew that they would all come back here for her abilities, they wanted to know why Diana wasn't responding. She sighed moving to the middle of the room and meditating, trying to release her emotions in a safe environment.

Chloe headed back to the Danger Room, intent on doing another session when she saw Raven meditating in the middle of the room. She bit her lip and decided to wait, so she wasn't intruding on her personal space or anything.

Raven opened one eyes, settling herself on the floor, "Guessing you're here for another round?" Raven looked up at the blond, who seemed intent on fixing her life.

Chloe bit her lip, "Um only if you're all right with it, I don't want to make you feel like you have to do this." She said honestly besides her problems were her own.

"Your problems become my own, you forget I can feel what you feel." She stated gesturing to in front of herself.

Chloe winced at the rememberence, 'Only if you're sure." She said and moved to sit across from Raven.

Raven shut her eyes, "Open your mind, hopefully this time Brainiac won't make an appearance."

Chloe nodded and closed her own eyes before opening her mind, she wasn't as freaked out when she saw was naked once again. This time at least she was prepared, she bit her lip when she heard a noise behind her and felt the presence of Brainiac. Brainiac now looked feeble but the clone of Chloe still retained her black eyes and evil persona. "Little empath....you must have a death wish." the Brainiac side of her said darkly.

Raven easily slipped into her mind, 'You know what I'm doing will get rid of you. Now, that I've state that, you no longer exist in my mind.' Raven moved her head towards Chloe's alone, "Now, where were we, we did greed... correct?"

Chloe nodded, "Yes we did, I think we were on sloth." She said as she thought about it. She frowned, "I honestly don't have issues with sloth." She admitted

Raven nodded, that wasn't a sin that plagued heroes all that often, "Pride.'

Chloe bit her lip and frowned as another memory hit; "How did you do this?" Chloe turned around to see Clark looking at all the monitors with a stunned gaze. She smirked, "Oh well you know me, besides having a super brain and with just a few techie gifts from Olli and voila. This is for my own personal use so I can keep an eye on things, in fact Oracle gave me a few tips but I kinda did all of it." She said with a proud tone in her voice. Clark nodded and stared at all the monitors that showed her a view of Metropolis at different angles with an unreadable look on his face. "So what do you think?" She asked eagerly.

"The memory seems fine, you aren't overly prideful. Which is good... seems if you think about statements before letting emotions get out of hand you can control Brainiac more so than he can to you." Raven mused out, ignoring Brainiac, if he was still there.

Chloe nodded, she honestly couldn't think of another memory of hers that might deal with pride.

Clark carried Diana into the Danger Room, remembering Raven's words and froze when he saw Chloe and Raven there. They were meditating and Clark studied them both, he wasn't sure what to think of Chloe anymore. Did she still have feelings for him after all these years? He wondered, and now he wasn't sure what his feelings for her were.

Raven removed herself from Chloe's mind, "Brainiac has an odd manifestation. Why choose you but changing only minor things like eyes? I do not understand." Raven said, blinking her eyes open to see Clark and Diana, "You have impeccable timing."

Clark smiled warmly in her direction, "I'll take that as a compliment." He said and pretended not to notice Chloe's sudden blush on her face as she avoided looking at him.

Raven could feel the awkwardness between the two, "I can feel exactly what is going on." She looked at the both of them, "Shoo to a different corner while I go in, I don't need you smothering me with sexual tension." Raven muttered out, almost wondering why she hadn't gotten use to it with Robin and Starfire.

Chloe coughed and blushed an even brighter red, "Yeah um you know what? I have to go um set some things up." She said awkwardly. Before anyone could change her mind she darted out of the room, Clark watched her leave and sighed before looking at Raven, "What is going on exactly?" He asked bluntly.

"Not sure, but it's not my place." She stated flatly, she never involved herself in those kind of things.

Raven took a deep breath, "Now, put Diana down and let me do what I'm here for. You can follow after her, ask her. I only deal with her emotional attachment to Brainiac."

Clark nodded and gently set Diana down on the ground before following after Chloe. "Hey Chloe wait up, we need to talk about last night." He said as he hurried towards her. Chloe hadn't gotten far but she paused in her step before turning to look up at him. "Clark, I think we can chalk last night's little kiss to nothing more then just that. Seeing you with Diana....well it...makes me wonder what it might have been if I had been able to hold onto something with Bruce. But Thomas was right...he was only there for the baby, and Clark I'm sorry for getting in between you and Diana. It wasn't what I intended and I apologize." She said quietly. Clark nodded, "So um you don't have feeling for me then?" He asked almost sadly. Chloe bit her lip, "Clark...you are my best friend and I don't want that to change between us. So no Clark I don't." She said

Raven watched the two talk moving her hands on Diana's temples. Jumping in to the woman's mind.

She entered the Pre-Historic world walking down the pathway towards the light finding Diana in the same spot as last time. Raven quickly moved next to the woman, turning her head to her, "Well, I'm back." she said settling down next to Diana.

Diana looked at Raven, bowing her head, "And what news to you have to share with me now?"

Raven looked down, "I'm not sure, but what is it with old friends having strong, sexual tensions with each other. I swear the ones coming off Chloe and Clark would kill any sane person." She heard Diana laugh.

Diana shook her head, giving out a short bit of laughter, "Sometimes I wish they would. It's almost disheartening how perfect the two would seem to be for each other."

Raven raised an eyebrow at the woman, was she saying her boyfriend could go be with another woman and she wouldn't mind?

Bruce calmly walked besides Clark and Chloe, clearly ignoring the two. He knew if Clark was out here Diana would be inside the chamber. He quickly walked into the room.

Chloe watched Bruce pass them both without acknowledging either of them and felt even worse, Clark just nodded at her words. "Well if that's how you feel then I guess we're done here." He said quietly, Chloe nodded and turned to leave, "You should go be with Diana Clark....make her happy." She said softly before she turned and left. Clark watched her leave, inwardly warring with himself before he turned and headed back into the Danger Room. His eyes widened when he saw Bruce, "Hey man, whats up?" He asked.

Bruce didn't care for talking right now. He stayed silent watching Raven and Diana in their connection that was on a higher plane of existence than there own. He stood perfectly still, the only movement from his was the subtle movement of his abdomen.

Diana looked at Raven, "Sometimes it happens. Even to the best of men. Bruce, as perfect as the man seems, has done it. To me, none the less. Men mess up, and its up to the women to put them in line. Now tell me you don't have to do that with Conner Kent." Diana said with almost a smile.

Raven nodded in agreement, "I see your logic." Raven continued to think about it, "Wait, you said Bruce, as in Batman, right?"

Diana nodded, letting a playful smile play on her lips. She was waiting for some sort of reaction. And what the reaction she was waiting for was completely different then what she thought she'd see.

Clark shrugged when Bruce didn't bother replying and instead looked down at the floor as his thoughts were still tumbling over his head.

Chloe headed back to her room feeling sick, she barely made it to the bathroom in time before she vomited. Being pregnant sucks she thought once she had straightened and managed to get her breath back. She flushed the toilet and then looked at herself in the mirror, I need help.....either that or I could die....after all no one would miss me. I'm just a burden she thought darkly.
